The Circular on Increasing the Old-age Pension Benefits for the Beneficiaries under the Township Pension Scheme in Shanghai Municipality in 2004

To all the Municipal Departments, Commissions, Offices, Bureaus, Holding (Group) Corporations, and all the District & County Administration Centers for Social Insurance Funds,

In accordance with The Provisional Regulations on the Township Pension Scheme in Shanghai Municipality (Document No.(65) 2003 issued by Shanghai Municipal People’s Government), and upon the approval of the Municipal People’s Government, The Circular on Increasing the Old-age Pension Benefits for the Beneficiaries under the Small Township Pension Scheme in Shanghai Municipality in 2004 is promulgated as the followings,

1. For those who have completed the procedures before the end of 2003 for claiming pension benefits on monthly basis as per relevant regulations of the Township Pension Scheme, the old-age pension benefits shall be increased by RMB 35 Yuan per month per capita.

2. The balance for increasing the pension benefits in light of this Circular shall be sourced from the social pooling funds of the Township Pension Scheme.

3. This Circular shall become effective as of July 1st, 2004.
